In a related note to Pete's idea, anybody have any ideas as to how to show the war's effects (if any) at home. It is a story idea I've been kicking around but haven't come up with a whole lot...
What about the so-called walking wounded? PTSD? My limited experience with the VA has been fairly negative but we have a clinic here on Route 1.
Effects on the economy with regards to National Guard and reservists off to war? What about when they come home? Contractors - risking their lives to make $100K/year driving a truck?
Anybody interested in pursuing this with me?
